My company has a closed, secure network so I can not use applications like Skype that need access to the internet. Can your telepresence robots use my company's internal audio/video conferencing applications?

Yes, our robots can use any audio/video conferencing application. The telepresence robot itself can then be controlled using a direct socket connection (VPN connection) and none of the traffic will ever leave your closed, secure network.

Can I use WiFi or a Cellular connection to connect to the telepresence robot?

All of our robots are equipped with WiFi radios. Cellular connections can be made by using your own mobile WiFi hotspot and attaching it to the MantaroBot.

I need to use the Telepresence Robot to cover a very large area that traverses many wireless access points. Will the connection drop?

Our telepresence robots that have a motorized wheel-base, such as the TeleMe, have options for purchasing a Multiple WiFi radio solution that greatly improves the connectivity, and should prevent the connection from dropping out even when the robot is being handed off from one wireless Access Point to another.

Can I look around the environment without moving the telepresence robot?

Yes, all of our products have motorized pan and tilt available that allows the remote user to look up/down and left/right without having to actually drive the robot.
